I have been working with individuals, children, young people and families since 1990. I began my career working  with troubled young people and children and their parents  in specialist agencies and spent six years working  in child and adolescent mental health. For the past five years I have lectured in counselling  in higher education at undergraduate and post-graduate level. I also run a private therapy and counselling practice for adults, couples, children, families and young people I have a Masters degree and have trained as a child therapist and as a family therapist. Since the beginning of my career I have always worked with imaginative and respectful approaches that invite possibility and hope.  For the last 7 years I have been supervised and trained by the internationally acclaimed therapist and inventor of Narrative Therapy, David Epston. I draw on a number of other collaborative approaches in my work and have also trained as a Journey Practitioner. Journey work helps specifically to free people of ‘stories’ that have become stuck in the body.
